Who We Are
Kay and Elle Interior Design, is based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kristi and Elizabeth have been designing homes separately and together for the past 10 years. Together we convey a merge of clean lines filled with texture and neutrals sprinkled with color. We love to mix antiques, vintage finds, but also layer modern design elements to really enhance the unique character of the clients home. We aim to tailor each design project to the clients vision, while also complimenting the architecture of the home.
Our Story
Kristi Lofstedt
Kristi is a self-taught interior stylist who always had a love for all things beautiful in the home. Kristi started integrating her knack for interior design about ten years ago when renovating her first home with her realtor husband.
The house had an overwhelming response and they realized that one of the reasons was because of the design choices and decor throughout the home. It was intentionally curated and sold quicker at a higher price point than other listings in the area. From there people started seeking out Kristi to help with staging, design choices, shopping, small jobs to big jobs, and just about everything in between.
She was getting clients simply by word of mouth. She partnered with a contractor and she began learning through a hands on approach. Kristi’s goal is to make what seems like an overwhelming experience be not only successful but also fun at the same time.
Elizabeth Lofstedt
Elizabeth spent the first two decades of her professional career doing graphic design in the beverage industry. During this time she realized she also had a love for interior design while renovating her own home.
She then decided to go to work for a large real estate team doing staging and design. While working for the team she went back to school to fill in the gaps of her interior design education. Upon graduation she worked for a small design firm to gain more hands
on experience and really learn the ins and outs of the industry.
Around this time, she and Kristi realized how well their skills complemented one another and decided to join forces to become Kay & Elle Interiors and Decor. She is always excited to help her clients make their own dreams come to life.
